Air Fryer Pizza Roll Ups (Print Version)

Crispy roll ups filled with mozzarella and pizza sauce, cooked quickly in an air fryer. Easy and delicious.

# What You'll Need:

→ Bread

01 - 8 slices white or whole wheat sandwich bread, crusts removed

→ Filling

02 - 8 tablespoons pizza sauce
03 - 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
04 - 24 slices pepperoni (optional, omit for vegetarian)
05 - 1/2 teaspoon dried Italian herbs

→ Topping

06 - 2 tablespoons melted butter
07 - 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese (optional)

# How To Make It:

01 - Preheat air fryer to 375°F.
02 - Flatten each slice of bread with a rolling pin until thin.
03 - Spread 1 tablespoon pizza sauce on every slice of bread, leaving a small border.
04 - Sprinkle mozzarella and Italian herbs evenly over sauce. If using, place 3 slices pepperoni on each.
05 - Roll each bread slice tightly and brush the seam side with melted butter to secure.
06 - Brush remaining melted butter on top of each roll up and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese if desired.
07 - Arrange roll ups seam-side down in air fryer basket. Cook for 6–8 minutes, turning halfway through, until golden and crisp.
08 - Allow roll ups to cool slightly before serving. Offer additional pizza sauce for dipping if preferred.

# Top Tips:

01 -
  • You can sneak in vegetables or go classic with pepperoni and everyone is happy.
  • Each roll up gets irresistibly crispy all over without needing to fry in oil.
02 -
  • If you forget to leave a border when spreading sauce, the filling will burst out and make cleanup less fun.
  • Rolling the bread tightly is key—if you rush, the seam opens during cooking and cheese escapes.
03 -
  • Let the roll ups rest a minute before serving for the cheese to settle and avoid burns.
  • Mozzarella is a must for melt, but a little provolone or cheddar tossed in is a flavor secret worth trying.
